General Requirements

Candidate must be 18 years of age or older, very customer service oriented, work well with others, and preferably have a good knowledge base on geology, paleontology, and other related geosciences. However, we are willing to train candidates that exhibit a willingness to learn. Candidate must be very energetic, enthusiastic, and always represent the company in a positive manner. Candidate must have reliable transportation, be physically capable of working outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions, and have the ability to safely lift boxes and buckets weighing up to 55 pounds. Ability to work well with and inspire kids is extremely important.

Due to the fact these positions involve working with children, and, at times, in high security facilities, Geologic Times Corporation, DBA GTC Rock Shop is required to complete federal, state, and local criminal and sex offender background checks with fingerprints on all GTC Rock Shop staff members. If any history is discovered, the candidate is NOT or is NO LONGER eligible for employment with GTC. Furthermore, some government and high security facilities we run programs and activities at or for also require additional background checks and signing of non-disclosure agreements.
